As you are most likely aware CPHB has been working incredibly hard to establish a new 4 court Canoe Polo facility at the HB Regional Sports Park. This facility is well into the process of becoming a reality and all going to plan it is expected to be completed by January 2019.
Having 4 dedicated Canoe Polo courts located centrally within Hawke's Bay will be a massive boost for Canoe Polo in the area. This will also mean a change in the way Canoe Polo is organised, played and enjoyed as we as a club transition from primarily using school pools in the summer, and indoor public pools through the winter, to a large outdoor facility where everyone can train and play together. Primarily through the summer, although the facility will be available and have lighting for the winter. We anticipate that usage of the new facility will be high and there will be a need for a booking/scheduling system to ensure everyone gets what they need out of the facility in a fair way.
CPHB will need to pay an annual amount to the Sports Park for being the primary user of this world class 4 court facility. As such CPHB will need to cover those costs and the clubs normal operational costs through a membership fee, training fees and competitions fees. The structure and value of these fees will need to be worked out based on the information received from this survey.
To get the most out of our new facility and the way CPHB is run we would like you to help us by answering the questions below and adding any other feedback you wish to give. We encourage all of you to fill this in individually.
And while we're on the subject, (and if you haven't already) why not be a part of the new facility by buying a brick! Contact Kelly at email@example.com for more details.
